Project Manager – Commercial Construction

Reports To: Vice President of Operations
 

Position Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall success of assigned commercial construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of construction processes, budgeting, scheduling, and client relationship management.

As a Project Manager, you will serve as the key point of contact for clients, ensuring that each project is executed efficiently, meets quality expectations, and exceeds client satisfaction—all while maintaining our commitment to a stress-free experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Lead all aspects of project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and closeout.

  • Coordinate project teams, including site staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.

  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

  • Oversee and manage contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and cost tracking.

  • Conduct regular site visits and meetings to monitor progress and resolve issues proactively.

Client & Team Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Communicate clearly, consistently, and professionally to foster trust and transparency.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners.

Budgeting & Financial Management

  • Develop, manage, and update project budgets and schedules.

  • Review and approve vendor invoices and subcontractor pay applications.

  • Monitor project costs and proactively identify opportunities for cost savings.

 

What Sets You Apart:

  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, project management tools, safety practices, and local building codes.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively.

  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Autodesk, Building Connected, Plan Hub, etc.).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience in design-build, negotiated work, and fast-track project delivery.

  • Spanish Bilingual
